MARCHE .</title><description>&lt;p&gt;A french word for market. It&amp;#8217;s a Switzerland restaurant, spread almost in every country in five continents. Some people told me that branding is important, it represents who you are. That&amp;#8217;s what Marche is about. Eating in the &amp;#8220;market&amp;#8221; would best describe this restaurant, not a real market of course it&amp;#8217;s just they took the theme like a market. I&amp;#8217;d say a restaurant with lovely ambience. There are so many different stalls with various range of European dishes. Starting from appetizer, salad, soup, main course, desserts and beverages. You can choose what to order by coming to the stall and pick up the food by your self or the waiters might send to ur table if it requires longer cooking time like pizza.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Finally, Marche is back in Indonesia. Located in Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall. I came to this restaurant simply just for a potato rosti which I could hardly find in any restaurant in Jakarta. I know only Marche has. Kind a disappointed when they closed several years ago and I wasn&amp;#8217;t be able to try their rosti when I came and dine at marche KL. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Once I heard the news that they are back, I just can&amp;#8217;t wait to taste their rosti. Me and my boyfriend ordered 3 dishes. Here they are&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1. Potato Rosti&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ow yeahh.. Potato Rosti here we go&amp;#8230; It was taste okay though, I do like how it goes well with sour cream. Still soft in the inside and crunchy on the outside. Might try with bacon or sausage. I choose plain rosti just to get the original flavour.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2. Pepperoni Pizza&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Wood-fire oven pizza always taste better compare to normal combi, electric or gas oven. The smells, the taste. Semolina flour does help too. Simply pepperoni pizza with 2 types of cheese, yellow cheddar and of course mozarella&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pull one straight from the circle and here&amp;#8217;s what comes out..&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Oh&amp;#8230;how I love pulling mozarella out from every slice of the pizza. Grind some blackpepper just like I did (only if you are a blackpepper lovers like me)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;3. Chocolate Crepes&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A little bit thick pancake, cook through nicely, I&amp;#8217;d prefer they spread the chocolate sauce on top and don&amp;#8217;t cook the sauce together with the crepes. It was not bad tough. I prefer a thinner and crunchy crepes for this method of cooking. This crepes will serve better with Ice cream and desserts sauce. &lt;/p&gt;

Trying out a Baileys Milkshake and Coffee Rub Burger. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Alright, I think let&amp;#8217;s go straight to these 2 beautiful menu.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1. Baileys Milkshake.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The simplicity of Baileys does create this beverage become an extraordinary drink. I&amp;#8217;m not sure what are the ingredients inside, but what I can imagine is basic Vanilla Ice Cream with a little bit of milk and cream, met baileys.. *bangg* Heaven&amp;#8230; =)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Very comforting to the feeling, delicious, yummy. 1 zip simply not enough. They have 2 types of Bailyes Milkshake, one is infused with baileys the other one with real baileys (alcoholic original irish cream). I absolutely choose the alcoholic one, because it&amp;#8217;s Baileys&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Everytime Baileys met Ice Cream, they are just the perfect match. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2. Coffee Rub Burger&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When the 1st time I heard the word &amp;#8220;Coffee Rub Burger&amp;#8221; what&amp;#8217;s pop up in my mind was &amp;#8220;how could a coffee, minced beef, cheese stack together in a burger bun?&amp;#8221; &amp;#8220;what would they tasted like?&amp;#8221;  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Find out the answer by ordering this unique menu and they taste delicious. I think the Chefs in good depts simply dare to try new things yet they manage to create something new, innovative and delicious at the same time. The grinned coffee was rubbed onto the minced beef patty with other seasoning for sure. You can smell the coffee was pretty strong, yet they don&amp;#8217;t really affect or even overpowering the flavour of the minced beed it self. I was surprise it wasn&amp;#8217;t as bitter as I thought it would be. The tomato sauce and the mayonnaise with pork bacon, melted cheese, fresh cut tomato just perfectly match to each other. The bun was eventually tasty too with just nice and right texture of a burger bun. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I love how they made their own fries. Instead they used frozen and ready to fried french fries, they used jardiniere potato with skin on, deep fried and baked with cheese. Yummy. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I wish I could made them my own&amp;#8230;haha :p&lt;/p&gt;

Warung Kopi .</title><description>&lt;p&gt;After celebrating Chinese New Year with my family, I&amp;#8217;m back to traditional Indonesian delight for dinner with my boyfriend. We came to Warung Kopi, located in Alun Alun Grand Indonesia Mall. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We ordered 2 Indonesian most famous snacks; Pisang Goreng Gula Kering (deep fried banana with caramelized sugar) and Roti Bakar Mentega (Toast with butter and sugar).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m simply delightful to see how chefs these day, they try to innovate a way to enhance the traditional dish, in presentation and taste, they bring further up to a new level more to international scale. Those two things that I ordered are eventually cheap, yet they manage to improve in many sides to make the ordinary food become extraordinary.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A crunchy texture of the toast on the outside and super soft on the inside. Ask for less sugar and less butter. They taste super good. Perfect. What a way to toast a bread. Definitely will be back here for the toast.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Next menu is Deep Fried Banana with Caramelized Sugar&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Took with phone camera and lighting wasn&amp;#8217;t too good either it looks so red. Anyway, I&amp;#8217;m not going to give review in photographic side. It was pretty good. Banana is soft on the inside and just enough sweetness combine with the crispy, sticky texture of the fried banana dough and a little bit bitter sensation from the caramelized sugar. Simple and pretty. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As for the beverage, my favorite &amp;#8216;Teh Tarik&amp;#8217; (milk tea)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What I love from Warung Kopi&amp;#8217;s Milk Tea is the fragrance of the cinnamon. To be honost with you, I&amp;#8217;m not a big fan of cinnamon. Not at all. I even dislike the smell of it. Surprisingly here, I simply love how it combines with the milk and the tea. I think the cinnamon does brings out the good from the milk tea (not too much cinnamon of course). It&amp;#8217;s so fragrance and somehow my mind said it&amp;#8217;s a healthy drink. Located in The Plaza (New Plaza Indonesia building) level 4.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They sell several branded items in clothing, shoes, magazines, etc. Not only that, they have this little corner (now it&amp;#8217;s getting bigger than the 1st time I came and had dinner) for they open this cafe. Called The Goods Dept Cafe Not too much menu, because the chefs are about to have some &amp;#8216;try-out&amp;#8217; upon their new dish creation. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I ordered Open Faced Sandwich.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Sandwich consists of, Smoked Ham (beef), with Portobello Mushroom, and Cheese (I forgot but I think it&amp;#8217;s Emmental). With Toasted salad with vinaigrette and half-steamed whole carrot. This dish is simply brilliant. You can taste that everything is come together in your mouth and ready to tickling your taste bud as all these ingredients are about to kick their own flavours. I loved it! =D&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To be able to love someone (others) is a decision, it’s your choice. It’s the greatest thing in life. Widely known for Asians especially Singapore and Malaysia. It&amp;#8217;s like a habit to come and have breakfast in Kopitiam. French toast, half boiled egg, hot coffee, hot tea or hot milk tea (known as Teh Tarik) are the most common food that represent Kopitiam. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They are now available in certain Big Malls in Jakarta. One of them is Kopitiam in Grand Indonesia. My boyfriend said this kopitiam has a good carrot cake. We decide to come and give it a try on a one fine afternoon, suitable for tea time =)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Here&amp;#8217;s what we order:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1. French Toast&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Come to a kopitiam store, it&amp;#8217;s a must to order French Toast. Unfortunately I didn&amp;#8217;t really enjoy the french fries and the honey so much. I don&amp;#8217;t think that they are all work well together in one plate. The french toast it self was okay for me though.&lt;/p&gt;


&lt;p&gt;2. Hot/Cold Milk Tea (Teh Tarik)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Here&amp;#8217;s a must order drink =) I&amp;#8217;ve tried so many &amp;#8216;Teh Tarik&amp;#8217; in Jakarta, yet I found out this is the best &amp;#8216;Teh Tarik&amp;#8217; I&amp;#8217;ve ever tried. Not trying to exaggerate how I expressed my feeling, but this is the nearest &amp;#8216;Teh Tarik&amp;#8217; to the one I&amp;#8217;ve tried in Malaysia. I can felt it at the first zip and imagine that I was back in KL. Well done&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2. Carrotcake&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After a &amp;#8216;not so good&amp;#8217; review upon the French Toast, this Carrotcake is good enough to be the &amp;#8216;remedy&amp;#8217; :p. At first I wasn&amp;#8217;t so sure about how this carrotcake taste. Again, I think they did this pretty good. It does taste different to the one in Singapore , this one taste kind a sweet (i think because of the sweet soy sauce), maybe kind a little bit too much (you can taste it after you eat half of them). But well, I found out I like it. They have scrambled egg in it and as for the &amp;#8216;carrotcake&amp;#8217; it self, it taste like a dough made of rice flour. I love it&amp;#8217;s texture and flavor. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are some reviews of my Kopitiam Journey =) I&amp;#8217;d love to try others kopitiam.
